NGC 5664 = IC 4455 is a 14.1 mag bright spiral Seyfert galaxy (type 2) of the Hubble type Sa in the constellation Libra on the ecliptic . It is estimated to be 201 million light years from the Milky Way and about 50,000 light years in diameter
The object was discovered by Francis Leavenworth on June 6, 1885 . The observation of DeLisle Stewart in July 1899 led to an entry in the index catalog under IC 4455 .
