NGC 5666 is a galaxy of Hubble type S? in the constellation Bear Guardian in the northern sky . It is estimated to be 100 million light-years away from the Milky Way and has a diameter of about 30,000 ly. 
In the same area of the sky there is u. a. the galaxy NGC 5669 .
The object was discovered by John Herschel on May 9, 1825 .
