NGC 5652 (= NGC 5650 ) is a bar-spiral galaxy of the Hubble type SABbc in the constellation Virgo in the northern sky . It is around 335 million light years away from the Milky Way and has a diameter of around 200,000 light years .
The object was discovered on May 12, 1793 by the German-British astronomer Wilhelm Herschel (cataloged as NGC 5652) and "rediscovered" on April 19, 1887 by Lewis Swift (listed as NGC 5650).
