NGC 5634 is the name of a globular cluster in the constellation Virgo . NGC 5634 has a brightness of about 9.5 mag and an angular diameter of 5.5 arc minutes . The distance is approximately 27 kiloparsecs.

Due to the similarity of the orbit, a connection between the cluster and the Sagittarius dwarf galaxy is suspected. According to this, the cluster would have belonged to the dwarf galaxy before it was torn apart by the gravitation of the Milky Way.

The object was bought on March 5, 1785 by William Herschel .
