IC 4441 = IC 4444 is a bar-spiral galaxy of the Hubble type SBbc in the constellation Wolf in the southern sky . It is estimated to be 82 million light-years away from the Milky Way and has a diameter of about 40,000 ly.
In the same area of the sky there are u. a. the galaxy NGC 5643 .
The object was discovered by Lewis Swift on March 28, 1897 .
