Both previous clubs played in the third-class Division 1, Season Norra , until they merged .

Carlstad United BK
Carlstad United BK was founded on April 12, 1998. The new team mainly consisted of players from the clubs Norrstrands IF and Hertzöga BK . In the 2000 season the club took the place of FBK Karlstad in the fourth-class division 3 Västra Svealand.
