history

The club was created in 2012 through the merger of the Lyckeby GoIF and Karlskrona AIF associations .

For the first four years after it was founded, the club played in fourth-class Division 2 . The first promotion to the third-class Division 1 was achieved in 2016. In the 2017 season, the club took 6th place. The following season the club finished 13th and had to relegate to Division 2 after a 1: 2 and 2: 2 in the relegation against FC Trollhättan . As champions of Division 2 Östra Götaland , he was immediately promoted back to Division 1 Södra in 2019.

Lyckeby GoIF

Lyckeby GoIF ( G ymnastik- o ch I drotts f örening) from the district of the same name in Karlskrona was founded on February 5, 1925. In addition to football as the largest division, the club also offered tennis, swimming, winter sports and wrestling.

Karlskrona AIF

Karlskrona AIF was founded on November 2nd, 1968 through the merger of Saltö BK , Karlskrona BK and Björkholmens IF . The club played its home games in Karlskrona Idrottsparken. The attendance record with 3,893 spectators was set in 1981 in the game against Västra Frölunda IF . In the same year, the club achieved the best placement in the club's history when the team finished fourth in the then second-rate Division 2.
