Karlslunds IF is a Swedish sports club from Örebro . The soccer team is one of the figureheads of the club, which was founded on April 27, 1920. The club also has departments for American football , bandy , baseball , gymnastics , swimming and skiing . The women's football team takes on as KIF Örebro .

Karlslunds IF was founded as a football club in 1920. The team played mostly underclass in the following years. After they had established themselves in the third division in the late 1970s, they were promoted to the second division in 1980 . In the northern season of the league, however, the club missed relegation as twelfth in the table. In the following season, as the season winner of Division 3 Västra Svealand, the participation in the promotion round, with two 2-0 successes over IFK Mora and then two 1-0 wins over IF Heimer, the immediate rise. First, the team placed in midfield, before relegation was missed again in the 1985 season with two points behind the non-relegation place occupied by Ope IF .
As third in the table, Karlslunds IF survived in the first third division season after relegation a league reform in Sweden with the aim of concentrating on performance. In the following years, the team established itself in the league and played in the third division for almost a decade before relegation was missed in 1996. Although the team continuously belonged to the top tier of the fourth division in the following years, it was not until 2001 before they were promoted again. In 2005, the team was bottom of the table in Division 2 Västra Svealand victim of a league reform and rose from the third division to the fifth division. After a fifth place in the first year, the season winner of the following season was promoted to the fourth division. In Division 2 Östra Sveland , the newcomer surprised and managed to march straight through to Division 1 Norra . There the team missed relegation and then slipped straight into fifth division.
