From laut.de the album four out of a possible five points received. The reviewer Alexander Cordas thinks that IV is better than its predecessor and would "boom loosely and flaky out of the speakers." In terms of sound, Cypress Hill is "thanks to the dexterity of DJ Muggs at the top of the hip-hop league." dark sounds, distorted guitars and a rap style that comes along in staccato like a machine gun.
