Igor Spallati

Igor Spallati (born August 16, 1985 ) is an Italian jazz and rock bassist who works in Germany .

Live and act

Spallati grew up in Perugia and studied at the Berlin Jazz Institute with Greg Cohen and John Hollenbeck . In 2011 he was the first winner of the Savoy Award of Excellence . During this time he worked a. a. with Mike Richmond , Dado Moroni , Pietro Tonolo , Gabriele Mirabassi , Fred Hersch , Joe Chambers and performed at various jazz festivals such as Jazz Baltica and Umbria Jazz .

Since the end of the 2000s he worked a. a. in the formation Nickhead , later with Simon Kanzler and with Anna Webber . As a horn player, he was involved in the album Labyrinth (2013) by the Italian rock band Fleshgod Apocalypse . He is a member of the Rosen Quintett (with Benedikt Joch , Edith Steyer , Kay Lübke and Nikolaus Neuser ); he also played a. a. with Clara Haberkamp , Fuasi Abdul Khaliq , Markus Ehrlichs Flexible Task Force , Florian Menze Olga Amelchenko , Musina Ebobissé , Uri Gincel / Moritz Baumgärtner and Volker Schlott . Spallati lives in Berlin.
