Iroegbu, whose parents emigrated from Nigeria to the USA, grew up as the second of three sons. He began playing basketball in his hometown of Elk Grove high school , where he became the first freshman to play on the selection team. After two years he was transferred to the Oak Hill Academy, which was also attended by NBA star Kevin Durant . Iroegbu became national champion with the Warriors in 2012. After completing his high school education, he moved to Washington State University . There he played every game of his team and at the end of his college days finished 13th for most assists (263) and 18th place for most assists per game (2,828) in the internal Cougars ranking.
When NBA Draft in 2017 he was not elected. He played a game for the Los Angeles Clippers in 2017 and then played a season for their G-League team, the Agua Caliente Clippers . In August 2018 Iroegbus was announced to join Science City Jena in the basketball league after his agent announced the change in July. After ten defeats in a row, the club and Iroegbu decided to terminate their contract in February 2019. He then moved to the Lithuanian League (LKL) to Lietkabelis Panevėžys . With his team he reached third place in the cup and fourth place in the LKL. After the end of the season it was announced that he would switch back to the G-League. He was exchanged for Capital City Go-Go by the Agua Caliente Clippers, to whom he was automatically assigned as a returning player .
National team
Iroegbu was appointed to the D'Tigers team for the first time in 2017 . He was used in all six games of the AfroBasket and took second place with the team. After the tournament he was appointed to the All-Tournament Team together with his teammate Ike Diogu . He was named to the final squad for the 2019 World Cup . He was used in all five games of his team, which finished 17th in the end.
