The Ilse area is a nature reserve designated by the Detmold Regional Council in 2009 (NSG number LIP-094) in the North Rhine-Westphalian town of Lemgo in the Lippe district in Germany .
location
The five sub-areas of the approximately 14 hectare nature reserve Ilse belong naturally to the Lipper Bergland . They extend along the eponymous Ilse , north and west of Lemgo city center, between the hamlets of Kirchheide in the north and Lieme in the southwest, where the Ilse in the Bega flows .

The Ilse protected area is described as the area of a "natural flowing water including alluvial forests, creek-accompanying tall herbaceous vegetation, individual trees, field trees, grassland of various moisture levels and intensities of use, hedges, gravel and sand banks, orchards and trees, reeds and reeds as well as riparian trees".
Protection purpose
The main protection purpose is the "development, preservation and restoration of a regionally to nationally significant natural stream and adjacent riparian forest and grassland areas in the landscape areas of desert hills and mountains, Lemgo valley basin and Begamulde as a habitat for rare, endangered and typical wild flora and fauna species" .
