The Indian national volleyball team is a selection of the best Indian players who represent the Volleyball Federation of India in international tournaments and internationals.
history
World championships
In 1952, India finished eighth in its only participation in a volleyball world championship .
Olympic games
India has not yet qualified for the Olympic Games.
Asian Championships
In the first three appearances in the Asian volleyball championships , the Indians were fifth in each case from 1979 to 1987, before they slipped from sixth in 1991 to tenth place. In 1993, 1997 and 1999 they were each ranked ninth. Then they increased again to fourth place in 2005. The 2007 championship they finished ninth.
World cup
At the World Cup , India was not yet involved.
World league
India has not yet played in the world league either.
