Ingo Schmoll (born March 27, 1970 in Siegburg ) is a German radio and television presenter, musician, director and producer.

Life

At the age of 18, Ingo Schmoll initially worked as a production manager for various TV productions, including for WDR and RTL plus . In 1989 he switched to the camera and hosted the weekly music magazine Rapido on RTL plus , which was renamed Ragazzi in the same year , and at the same time took over the editing of the show.

Since 1990 he has also worked for the first time as a presenter for the radio station WDR and moderated various youth programs there.

1991-92 he was a frequent member of the jury for the Mini Playback Show (RTL Plus), in which he judged the children from the perspective of a younger music expert. In 1993 he moved to London and became (after Kristiane Backer ) the second German presenter on the Europe-wide program MTV Europe . From 1996 he presented the chart show BIG in Germany for Deutsche Welle TV International in English and German. In the same year he was seen in a guest role in the SWR television game Das Erste Mal and took over various programs on the WDR radio station 1LIVE , where he hosted until April 2, 2015. His program PLAN B dealt with pop culture in all its facets.

In addition to his work as a presenter, Schmoll has also worked as a spokesperson for advertising and dubbing (including for the TV series Dr. House , South Park ) and a variety of computer games for Xbox and Playstation 3 (including Transformers; Ghost Recon 2; Assassin's Creed, Heroes of Might and Magic). Schmoll was and is also active as an actor from time to time. From 1997 to 1998 he played Markus Steinfeld in the series Beloved Sisters . He has been working again since 2007, including in the serial pilot of a new TV series and in the hardcover film produced by Sönke Wortmann in 2008 by director Christian Zübert (Lammbock; solo album ). In 2009 Schmoll could be seen in the short films Bad Television by Manuel Meimberg and Children's Game by Dennis Dirksen.
