Internal Suffering is a Colombian death metal band from Pereira that was formed in 1996.
history
The band was founded in November 1996 by singer Fabián, guitarist Leandro, bassist Andrés Garcia and drummer Jorge. In the same year the band played some concerts in Colombia. In March 1997 a small tour through Colombia followed with the American band Incantation . After the tour, singer Fabián left the band and was replaced by Fabio Marin.
In 1997 the band played as the inaugural band for Sodom on their world tour. A few months later, drummer Jorge left the band and was replaced by Edwin Quiza. In March 1998 the band went into the studio to record their debut album, but the recordings were unsatisfactory. After a few concerts, a new drummer joined the band, Fabio Ramirez. In 1999 the band went back to the studio to record the debut album Supreme Knowledge Domain . The band sent the recordings to various labels and reached a contract with Qabalah Productions . The album was released on September 1, 2000 through the label. A few days after the end of the recording, drummer Ramirez left the band, so that the previous drummer Quiza took his place again. In April 2000 the band also recorded a demo. As a result, the band reached a contract with the Japanese label Macabre Mementos Records , where they released the EP Unmercyful Extermination in March 2001 .
In September 2001 the band reached a contract with Displeased Records . In February 2002 a small tour through Colombia followed together with Cannibal Corpse . The band went into the studio and released the album Chaotic Matrix in April 2002 . The release is followed by a tour of North America and an appearance at the Ohio Death Fest . The band then played two concerts in New York , as well as a concert at the Massachusetts Death Fest and the Xtreme Benefest in Detroit , along with Immolation , Devourment , Fleshgrind , Lividity , Internal Bleeding and Anal Blast .
In April 2003, the band began a tour of Europe that included about 80 performances. They played at the Fuck the Commerce ( Germany ), the Bands Battle Festival (Germany), the Steel Warriors Rebellion Festival ( Portugal ), the Obscene Extreme Festival ( Czech Republic ), the Shitfest ( Slovakia ) and the Kaltenbach Open Air Fest ( Austria ).
Original drummer Fabio Ramirez returned to the band in November 2003 after playing with the bands Infernal Hate and Carnal . The band had to pause when guitarist Leandro broke his arm. After his recovery, the band went to Mana Recording Studios in Tampa , Florida in April 2004 to record the album Choronzonic Force Domination . Erik Rutan ( Hate Eternal , ex- Morbid Angel ) was the producer. In August, a tour of the USA followed with Incinerate , Stabwound and Emeth .
In August 2004, guitarist Leandro Quiza also left the group and was replaced by the Japanese Makoto Mizoguchi. With this new line-up, the band hired three new songs and entered Mana Recording Studios to record a promo demo. As a result, the band reached a contract with Unique Leader Records . This was followed by appearances in North America together with Emeth, Victimas and End to End .
After the tour, the band began work on the album Awakening of the Rebel , which was recorded in January 2006 at Mana Recording Studios (Cannibal Corpse, Hate Eternal) with producer Erik Rutan.
Then guitarist Makoto Mizoguchi left the band and was replaced by Andres Usma (ex- pustulated ). In 2006 a world tour followed with performances in countries such as Japan and the Czech Republic.
