Isabelle Pasquier-Eichenberger (born March 17, 1973 in Chêne-Bougeries ; resident in Le Pâquier , Fahrwangen and Geneva ) is a Swiss geographer and politician ( GPS ) and has been a national councilor since 2019 .

Life and education

Isabelle Pasquier graduated from the University of Geneva with a degree in geography in 1997 , a degree in ecology and environmental sciences from the University of Neuchâtel in 2002 and a degree in public administration from the University of Geneva in 2008. She works as the coordinator of the Alpine Initiative for Western Switzerland (part-time). Isabelle Pasquier is a member of the Agriculture and Food Commission of the Fédération romande des consommateurs (FRC). She has two daughters and lives in Carouge .

Political career

Isabelle Pasquier was elected to the Grand Council of the Canton of Geneva for the 2018–2023 legislative period . As a candidate in the 2019 National Council elections , she came second on her list. After Lisa Mazzone , who was elected on the same list, also won a seat in the Council of States on November 10, 2019 in the second ballot , and the first substitute candidate Pierre Eckert waived the mandate for personal reasons, Isabelle Pasquier moved up to the National Council . She was sworn in as a national councilor on December 2, 2019. She is a member of the Transport and Telecommunications Commission and the Business Audit Commission.
