The Italian Formula 4 Championship 2014 (officially Italian F.4 Championship powered by Abarth 2014 ) was the first season of the Italian Formula 4 Championship . The championship only took place in Italy . There were 21 races. The season started on June 8th at the Adria International Raceway in Adria and ended on October 12th at the Autodromo Enzo e Dino Ferrari in Imola . The first race of this championship was also the first race with a car according to the new FIA - Formula 4 regulations.
The Canadian Lance Stroll ( Prema Power Team ) won the championship with 331 points ahead of the Italian Mattia Drudi ( F & M ) with 237 points. The team ranking was won by the Prema Power Team. Brandon Maïsano won the trophy classification .
Teams and drivers
All teams and drivers used the Tatuus F4-T014 chassis . The Abarth 1.4L T-Jet was used as the engine. The tires were from Pirelli . All drivers born after December 31, 1995 were classified in the driver standings of the Italian Formula 4 championship, all other drivers in the trophy standings.

- ↑ The racing team entered the first race weekend as SMP Racing by Euronova with an Italian license. At the second and seventh race weekend, the team used the name SMP Racing and a Russian license. From the third to the sixth race weekend, the racing team started again as SMP Racing by Euronova .
- ↑ The racing team entered the first race weekend as Adria Raceway by Cram . The team used the name from the race two F & M .
- ↑ Edi Haxhiu started the first four and the last event with a Swiss nationality, and at the fifth and sixth race weekend with a Kosovar one.
- ↑ The racing team entered the first race weekend with an Italian license. From the second race used an Israeli license. On the first, second and seventh race weekend the team used the name Israel F4 , from the third to the fifth race weekend the name Israel F4 by Torino Motorsport , on the sixth race weekend the name Israel F4 by Torino Squadra Corse .

There were seven events on six routes. There were three races each. The first five events as well as the last were part of the ACI Racing Weekends . The sixth race weekend took place in the framework of the International GT Open .
Rating
As participants in an FIA-certified Formula 4 championship, the first five drivers in the championship received points for a super license according to the 10-7-5-2-1 scheme. All drivers who have completed at least 17 races can also have their participation in this season count towards the experience criterion for acquiring the super license.

The fastest driver in both qualifying sessions received five bonus points for pole position. There was also a bonus point for the fastest lap in the race. The bonus points were only given to the fastest drivers born after December 31, 1995.
