Brandon Maïsano (born June 24, 1993 in Cannes ) is a French racing driver .

Career

Maïsano began his motorsport career in karting in 2004 , where he was active until 2011. Among other things, he won the French KF3 championship and the Monaco CIK-FIA-KF3-Kart-Cup in 2008 . In 2010 he also made his debut in formula racing and competed for BVM - Target Racing in Formula Abarth . He was also accepted into Ferrari 's sponsorship program in 2010 . Maïsano won four races and won the championship title. With 128 to 106 points he prevailed against Patric Niederhauser .

In 2011 Maïsano stayed with BVM - Target Racing and switched to the Italian Formula 3 championship . He scored his first victory on the first weekend of the season. With another victory and a total of six podium finishes, he finished the season in fourth place overall. His teammate Sergio Campana won the championship. In 2012 Maïsano moved to the Prema Powerteam within the Italian Formula 3 championship . He won three races and was on the podium 15 times. He finished the season behind his teammate Eddie Cheever in third place overall. After the season, Ferrari stopped promoting Maïsano.

2013 Maïsano was without a permanent commitment. He only competed in one race of the European F3 Open for DAV Racing . In 2014 Maïsano returned to the Prema Power Team and received a cockpit in the Italian Formula 4 championship . Since he was already over 18 at the beginning of the year, he was not entitled to points in the drivers' championship. In the trophy class for older drivers, he won 17 of 21 races and won the ranking. At the beginning of 2015 Maïsano competed for M2 Competition in the Toyota Racing Series . With five wins, no driver has more victories than him. In the championship he was defeated by his teammate Lance Stroll with 798 to 906 points and came second. Maïsano then competed in the European Formula 3 championship for the Prema Powerteam in 2015 . At the eighth event in Spielberg there was a break between Prema and Maïsano after the first race. The two separated by mutual agreement and Maïsano did not participate in the other two races of the event. Maïsano's best result was fourth. After the tenth race weekend, he finished 14th overall. Maïsano then took part in a GP3 series event for Campos Racing .
