Itilliatsiaq [ itˢiɬːiˌat͡siɑq ] (the old spelling Itivdliatsiaĸ ) is a desolate fallen Greenlandic settlement in the district Qaqortoq in kujalleq .
location
Itilliatsiaq is remote on a peninsula in the south of the large island of Nunakuluut (Nunarsuaq). Qassimiut is 39 km to the east .
history
Itilliatsiaq was settled before 1895. In the same year the Hvidbjørnen sank two kilometers south . In 1905 the place was abandoned and the residents moved to Saqqarmiut , which is 27 km northeast.
