Arpatsivik [ ˌɑˈpːat͡sivik ] (according to the old spelling Arpatsivik ) is a deserted Greenlandic shepherd settlement in the district of Qaqortoq in the municipality of Kujalleq .

location

Arpatsivik is located on the south coast of the island of the same name in a bay. On the west side of the bay is the peninsula with Qaqortoq , which is 6.5 km southwest, at the end is Qaqortukulooq 12.6 km northeast and 3.0 km east is Upernaviarsuk .

Population development

Arpatsivik last had between one and three residents. The Schäfersiedlung has been abandoned since 1994.
