Tatsip Ataa [ ˈtat͡sip aˈtaː ] (according to the old spelling Tatsip Atâ ) is a desolate Greenlandic shepherd settlement in the district of Qaqortoq in the municipality of Kujalleq .
location
Tatsip Ataa is located on Igalikup Kangerlua in the Tasikuluulik lake area . 19 km to the north is Igaliku, the next larger town.
history
Tatsip Ataa is part of the Kujataa World Heritage Site . There are remains of the Grænlendingar who lived in the area in the Middle Ages. The place is used today as a school camp.
Population development
Tatsip Ataa is first mentioned in 1978 with a resident. From 1992, no more residents were counted. In 2004 two people lived in Tatsip Ataa and in 2005 one. Since then, the place has been uninhabited again.
