Eqaluit Akiat [ ɜˈqaluitˢʰ akiˈatˢʰ ] (according to the old spelling Eĸaluit Akiat ; often grammatically incorrect Eqaluit Akia ) is a Greenlandic shepherd's settlement in the Qaqortoq district in Kujalleq municipality .

Eqaluit Akiat is located in the Tasikuluulik (Vatnahverfi) lake area and directly at the end of the Eqaluit Tasiat , a part of the Tasersuaq lake . 1.7 km west-northwest is the shepherd's settlement Eqaluit . The closest larger towns are Igaliku (26 km north), Ammassivik (20 km south-east), Eqalugaarsuit (25 km south-west) and Qaqortoq (27 km east).
Population development
Eqaluit Akiat has been inhabited since 1982. Since then, the settlement has had a maximum of six residents. The last known population of the shepherd settlements was for 2013. Eqaluit Akiat is statistically listed under "Farms at Eqalugaarsuit".
