Julia Olteanu
Iulia Olteanu , born Iulia Negură (born January 26, 1967 in Piatra Neamț ) is a former Romanian long-distance runner .
Life
About 10,000 meters she won at the 1991 World Championships in Athletics in Tokyo Rank 17 in the World Championships 1993 in Stuttgart rank 16 and at the 1996 Olympics in Atlanta 8th place at World Half Marathon Championships was in 1992 in South Shields Tenth, 1993 Brussels seventh and 1994 Oslo second; with the team she won bronze in 1992 and gold in 1993 and 1994.
In 1992 and 1993 she won the Great South Run and in 1994 Marseille - Cassis .
At the European Cross Country Championships in 1995 in Alnwick, she was eleventh and won silver with the Romanian team. A year later she was the first to arrive at the 1996 European Cross Country Championships in Charleroi, but was tested positive for stanozolol during the subsequent doping control , disqualified and banned until 1999 for this violation of the doping regulations .
In total, she was once Romanian champion over 5000 meters (1999), three times over 10,000 meters (1990, 1991, 1995), twice in the half marathon (2001, 2003) and three times in cross-country running (1988, 1993, 1999). In 2002 she was sixth in the Vienna City Marathon .
