Ivan Dresser
Ivan Dresser ( Ivan Chandler Dresser ; born July 3, 1896 in Flandreau , † December 27, 1956 in New York City ) was an American long-distance runner .
In 1918 and 1919 he became IC4A champion over two miles .
In the 5000-meter run of the Olympic Games in Antwerp , he did not reach the goal. In the team race over 3000 meters, however, he finished sixth and won the gold medal for the US team with Horace Brown (1st) and Arlie Schardt (3rd).
From 1925 until his death he was a manager at General Motors .
