Ivan Ninčević (born October 27, 1981 in Zadar ) is a former Croatian handball player . His playing position was left winger .
Club career
At the age of 15 he became a handball player and already played three years later in 2000 for the Croatian top club RK Zagreb .
In 2005 the 1.85 meter tall and 86 kilogram heavy right-hander moved to HSG Niestetal-Staufenberg and from there in 2006 to the Stralsund HV . His contract there ran until 2009 and was not extended due to a license withdrawal due to financial problems. With 200 goals in 31 games for Stralsund HV, he was the fourth best goal thrower in the 1st Bundesliga in the 2008/09 season .
From October 2009 Ivan Ninčević played for the Croatian B-League club Zadar.
In January 2010 he was signed by the German Bundesliga club Füchse Berlin , where he played in the EHF Champions League until the end of the 2012/13 season . In a game at HSV Hamburg on the third last match day of the 2012/2013 season , he suffered a serious head injury in the last minute of the game from a headbutt by Torsten Jansen , which meant the end of the season and the games for the Füchse Berlin. With 124 goals in this season, he was the second best goal thrower in Berlin until his premature retirement.
Then Ninčević moved to the Belarusian first division club HC Dinamo Minsk . In the summer of 2014 he moved to the Turkish master Beşiktaş Istanbul . With Beşiktaş he won the trophy and the Turkish championship in 2015, 2016 and 2017.
National team
Ivan Ninčević played in the Croatian national team and came up with 53 missions in which he threw 91 goals. He was in the squad for the 2009 World Cup and in the extended squad for the 2011 World Cup . In the summer of 2012 Ninčević took part in the Olympic Games in London , where he won the bronze medal; He also achieved bronze with the Croatian national team at the 2013 World Cup . He was appointed to the expanded squad for the 2014 European Championship .

Ivan Ninčević is married and has two sons.
