Ivona Fialková (born November 22, 1994 in Brezno ) is a Slovak biathlete .

Personal

Ivona Fialková now lives in Čierny Balog . The biathlete Paulína Fialková is her older sister.

Career

Ivona Fialková competed in four Biathlon Junior World Championships between 2011 and 2014 . She achieved her best results in 2012 in Kontiolahti as seventh in an individual and in 2014 in Presque Isle as ninth in a sprint and eleventh in the pursuit. In Innsbruck she took part in the 2012 Winter Youth Olympic Games , where she finished 17th in the mixed biathlon / cross-country skiing relay. At the junior races of the European Biathlon Championships , Fialková came in 14th in the individual, ten in the sprint and eleven in the pursuit in Bansko in 2013 . A year later she reached the ranks eleven in the individual, 24 in the sprint and 20 in the pursuit in Nové Město na Moravě . After the good results, she was appointed for the relay race in the selection of Slovakia and reached the side of Natália Prekopová , Andrea Horčiková and Lucia Šimová in eighth place in the lapped relay. At the Summer Biathlon World Championships 2013 in Forni Avoltri , she won the silver medals in sprint and pursuit of the juniors behind Paulína Fialková and in front of Natalja Dishieva and Kristina Ilschenko .

Fialková made her debut in the IBU Cup in 2012 in Ridanna and immediately won points as 39th in a sprint. In the further course of the season she achieved her best result in the racing series with 21st place in a sprint in Osrblie . In 2013 Fialková competed in her first race in the Biathlon World Cup in Annecy and was 88th in a sprint. With Terézia Poliaková , Jana Gereková and Anastasiya Kuzmina , she also finished ninth in the relay race.
