Ivan Kamenow Ivanov ( Bulgarian Иван Каменов Иванов , English Ivan Kamenov Ivanov ; born February 25, 1988 in Slatiza ) is a Bulgarian football player . He is a trained left full-back, but plays as a center-back.

Career

society

Ivanov began his career at Pirin Blagoevgrad before moving to the Bulgarian first division club CSKA Sofia in 2005 . On May 24, 2006, he and his team won the Bulgarian Football Cup Thanks a 3-1 win against Cherno More Varna and the Bulgarian Supercup against Levski Sofia on penalties. In the 2007/08 season he was loaned to Lokomotive Plovdiv .

Back at CSKA he became a regular player. On September 19, 2008, he scored his first goal in a 2-0 win over Minjor Pernik . His first goal in an international game followed on August 27, 2009; it was the winning goal to 2-1 against FK Dynamo Moscow in the play-offs for the Europa League 2009/10 and meant for CSKA the entry into the group stage of this competition.

On November 1, 2009, he was suspended along with eight other players due to undisciplined behavior. On November 20 he was back in the game against Lokomotiv Sofia .

On February 25, 2010 Ivanov signed a four-year contract with the Russian first division club Alania Wladikawkas .

On June 17, 2011 he moved to the Serbian first division club Partizan Belgrade . He made his debut for his new club on July 13 in a 4-0 home win against Macedonian club FK Škendija 79 in the second qualifying round of the Champions League .

In August 2013, FC Basel announced the commitment of left-footed Ivanov. At the reigning Swiss champions, he replaces Aleksandar Dragovic, who has migrated to Dynamo Kiev, with the number 13 . He was given a three-year contract with an option for an additional year. He played his first competitive game for the new club on August 17, 2013 in the Swiss Cup against local rivals BSC Old Boys Basel in which he scored the only decisive goal of the game in extra time.

On January 14, 2014, Ivanov suffered a cruciate ligament rupture in a test match against Eintracht Braunschweig . On September 16, 2014, he had to undergo another serious knee operation. At the beginning of the 2015/16 season he was still convalescent ; he hadn't been able to fight a serious fight for a year and a half. In December 2015, Ivanov's contract in Basel was terminated.

In the summer of 2018 he moved to the Turkish second division club Altay Izmir . in April 2019 Lithuanian FK Palanga .

National team

He made his debut for the Bulgarian national soccer team on August 20, 2008 in a 2-1 win against Bosnia and Herzegovina , when he came on in the 67th minute. He scored his first goal on September 6, 2011 when he lost 3-1 to Switzerland in qualifying for the 2012 European Championship
