Jérôme Noetinger (born April 25, 1966 in Marseille ) is a French improvisation musician (analog synthesizer , electronics, tapes) and the composer of Musique concrete .

Noetinger studied with Xavier Garcia at COREAM (Collectif de Recherche Électroacoustique et d'Action Musicale) from 1986 to 1988 . In 1987 he founded the “Cellule d'intervention” Metamkine with the filmmakers Christophe Auger and Xavier Quérel , with which he gave numerous performances with films and electro-acoustic music and released several albums.

Since 1993 he has worked with Lionel Marchetti and also with Mathieu Werchowski. Noetinger continued to perform with Nachtluft , Voice Crack , Tom Cora , Keith Rowe , Michel Doneda , Lê Quan Ninh , Sophie Agnel , Daunik Lazro . Since 1997 he has also been part of the Mimeo improvisation ensemble with Phil Durrant , Christian Fennesz , Cor Fuhler , Thomas Lehn , Kaffe Matthews, Gert-Jan Prins , Peter Rehberg, Keith Rowe, Marcus Schmickler , Rafael Toral and Markus Wettstein , with whom he has released various recordings . Between 2009 and 2015 he was a member of the improvisation group Thymolphthalein , with which he first appeared at the SWR New Jazz Meeting 2009 . He is also part of the Avant quintet with Lionel Marchetti, Jean Pallandre, Marc Pichelin and Laurent Sassi.

Noetinger runs the label and the sound carrier distribution Metamkine and was part of the editorial team of Revue & Corrigée magazine until 2014 .
