The Jüchse , also known as the Parthe in the lower reaches , is a 14.5 km long orographic left tributary of the Werra in the south of Thuringia . It rises in Obendorf immediately north of the Rhine-Weser watershed , northwest of the Kleiner Gleichberg , and runs mainly to the northwest, until it flows into the Werra from the left in Ober Maßfeld-Grimmenthal . It passes Exdorf , the Jüchsen warehouse , Jüchsen , Neubrunn and Ritschenhausen .

About 40 percent of the catchment area of ​​the Jüchse / Parthe belongs to the left tributary Bibra , whose catchment area is enclosed in the west, south and east by that of the Main . At the confluence, the Jüchse has a catchment area of ​​52.1 km², about 3 km above the confluence with the Werra, and the Bibra one of 41.5 km².
