Jürgen Heigl (born February 6, 1987 in Amstetten ) is an Austrian actor .

Life and education

Jürgen Heigl grew up in Amstetten, where he attended the federal high school after compulsory schooling , where he graduated with high school diploma in 2006. It was there that he found acting when he discovered the optional subject "performing games" for himself. After completing his civil service, he began his studies at the University of Music and Performing Arts Graz in 2007 . There, as well as at the Rostock University of Music and Theater , he received extensive acting training, which he successfully completed in 2011 at the University of Music and Performing Arts Graz. Jürgen Heigl has lived in Vienna since the beginning of 2012 .

Professional background

During his apprenticeship in Graz, Jürgen Heigl was engaged both at the Schauspielhaus Graz and in internal university productions. These included the production of King Lear by Peter Konwitschny , as well as The Women's People's Assembly by Cornelia Crombholz at the Graz University of Art, which was invited to the Setkání / Encounter Festival in Brno in 2010. In 2011 Jürgen Heigl himself directed and played Arthur Schnitzler's Lieutenant Gustl during his final exam . Since February 2012 Jürgen Heigl has been repeatedly engaged at the Theater der Jugend in Vienna, as well as at the Theater an der Effingerstrasse in Bern and Shakespeare im Park .
