Jacqueline Nemorin

Jacqueline "Jackie" Nemorin (* in Mauritius , then United Kingdom ) is a British singer , songwriter and composer and music producer . She also worked under her former married name Jackie Diez and the pseudonyms "Jackie Carter" and "Né-Mo-Rin".

Life

Jacqueline Nemorin was born the daughter of a pianist and a dancer and came to London with her parents . In the mid-1970s she went to Germany, where she took on the artist pseudonym Jackie Carter.

As a member of the Veit Marvos Red Point Orchestra from 1972 to 1974 she was on stage with the still unknown Donna Summer . She also began working as a guest and studio singer for various artists. In 1975 she sang in Michael Kunzes and Sylvester Levays disco formation Silver Convention . When she set out for a solo career, she was replaced by Penny McLean . Frank Diez , whose first wife she was, produced her solo albums Treat Me Like a Woman (1976) and Ruby Shoes (1979) as well as several singles . In 1977 she sang in the role of "Gertrud Stauffacher" in Christian Beat Hirt's musical Tell! about Wilhelm Tell , for which a soundtrack was also released. Were also involved Jürgen Drews , Alexis Korner , Su Kramer , Udo Lindenberg and Romy Haag . She was a backing singer in Eric Burdon 's band Fire Department in 1980 and worked on productions by Johnny Tame .

Together with Klaus Schultze and Georg Geuter, she wrote the first film music for Wolfgang Dobrowolny's documentary Ashram in Poona , which was released in 1981. In 1985 she became a member of the quartet The Hornettes with Freya Wippich , Bernd Wippich's wife , which she left in 1993 in favor of a career as a songwriter and composer. In the meantime, the marriage with Frank Diez was divorced in 1987.

Around 1990 Nemorin met Toby Gad , with whom she entered into a musical and private relationship. Since then she has been working under her real name and the pseudonym Né-Mo-Rin. She dropped her other stage names. She began writing and producing songs with Toby Gad and went to New York with him . Around 2000, Jacqueline Nemorin moved back to Munich, where she worked with Frankie Chinasky. She has been living in London again since 2012.

Jacqueline Nemorin has a daughter who also lives in London. She was featured with her in a feature in Bunte magazine in 2002 . Her nephew is the musical actor Zak Nemorin .
