Jake McLaughlin

Jake McLaughlin (* 7. October 1982 in Paradise , California as Jacob Adam McLaughlin ) is an American actor .

Life

McLaughlin is the son of John P. McLaughlin and Rebecca Kay De Victoria. He attended Notre Dame Catholic School and Chico High School in Chico , California. He moved to Southern California and graduated from the North Hollywood High School 's university .

McLaughlin joined the US Army in 2002 . He was part of the 3rd US Infantry Division and thus one of the first to invade Baghdad . He served in Iraq for four years before he was seriously injured. He has received many military awards for his efforts, including the Global War on Terrorism Service Medal , Army Achievement Medal, and Global War on Terrorism Expeditionary Medal . After he left the military, McLaughlin was first on a crab boat in Oregon and then a security officer at Universal Studios .

He has been married to Stephanie McLaughlin since 2004 and the couple have four children together.

Career

While McLaughlin was working as a security guard for Universal Studios, he heard about the casting for the war film In the Valley of Elah by Paul Haggis . He got the role of Gordon Bonner and made his acting debut in 2007. After the success of the film, he made cameo appearances in the films The Day the Earth Stood Still and Cloverfield . He has also had guest roles in CSI: Vegas , Leverage , Navy CIS: LA , The Mentalist , Cold Case , Heroes , Criminal Minds and Grey's Anatomy, among others .

In the second season of LA Crash , he played the lead role of Bo Olinville . This was followed by roles in the feature films Savages , Safe House and Warrior . In 2014, McLaughlin starred William Tate, Jr. on the short-lived NBC television series Believe

McLaughlin has played the lead role of Ryan Booth in the ABC thriller series Quantico since September 2015 .
