Jakob Pochlatko

Jakob Pochlatko (born December 4, 1984 in Graz ) is an Austrian film producer . Since 2016 he has been managing director and majority shareholder of the film production company Epo-Film .

Life

Jakob Pochlatko was born as the son of the film producer Dieter Pochlatko . After graduation in 2003 in Graz , he began studying law at the University of Graz , which he with a thesis about 2,010 Intellectual property issues in the European film with special reference to Cessio Legis rule in Austria and the impact of copyright law amendment in 2005 a master's degree completed .

From 2009 to 2011 he worked for a law firm in Vienna . In 2012 he joined the film production company Epo-Film, founded in 1954 by his grandfather Erich Pochlatko, as a junior producer, of which he became managing director and majority shareholder in 2016. Since 2013 he has been a board member of the Audiovisual Media Producers Austria Association (AMPA), since 2015 a member of the TV film professional group committee and the professional group committee for advertising, business and educational film of the Austrian Chamber of Commerce (WKO). Since 2017 he has been a sworn and court-certified expert for film, television and cinema, since 2018 he has been a member of the Advisory Board for Media and Film of the City of Graz. Jakob Pochlatko is also a member of the Academy of Austrian Films .
