James Kwalia C'Kurui (actually: James Kwalia Chepkurui ; born June 12, 1984 in the Trans-Nzoia District , Rift Valley Province ) is a Qatari long-distance runner of Kenyan origin.

At the 2001 World Junior Championships in Athletics in Debrecen, he won silver over 3000 meters . In 2004 he was allowed to start for Qatar after changing his citizenship. At the World Athletics Finals in Monte Carlo , he came second over 3000 meters. Over 5000 meters he was fifth at the Golden League meeting in Berlin that year.

In 2005, C'Kurui finished eighth in the 3000 m Super Grand Prix races in Lausanne and Doha . At the World Athletics Finals in Monaco, he started over 5000 meters and finished sixth. The highlight of the year was winning the gold medal at the Asian Championships in Incheon on the 5000 meter course. He also started over the longer distance at the World Championships in Helsinki and came in 13th. The best result in 2006 was seventh at the Golden League meeting in Monaco over 3000 meters. He achieved the same placement there in 2008. At the 2008 Summer Olympics in Beijing, C'Kurui was eighth over 5000 meters.

In 2009 he won bronze over 5000 meters at the World Championships in Berlin . At the World Indoor Championships in 2010 he was eighth over 3000 meters.
