Birhanu Yemataw Balew (born February 27, 1996 ) is a Bahraini long-distance runner of Ethiopian origin.

Athletic career

Birhanu Balew gained his first international experience at the 2016 Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro , where he finished ninth in the 5000 meter run with 13: 09.26 minutes in the final . 2017 he won the Kuwait-City Half Marathon in 1:01:45 hours and was at the IAAF World Cross Country Championships in Kampala 27 over 5000 meters, he qualified during the season for the World Championships in London , where he in 13:43, Came in at twelfth place for 25 minutes .
