Jamina Caroline Roberts (born May 28, 1990 in Gothenburg ) is a Swedish handball player who is a member of the Swedish national team.
Career
Jamina Roberts started playing handball at the Swedish club IK Sävehof . From the 2009/10 season, the back player was part of the Sävehof women's squad. With Sävehof she won the championship in 2010, 2011, 2012, 2013 and 2014. From summer 2014 she ran for the Danish first division team Tvis Holstebro . With Holstebro, she won the EHF Cup in 2015 and the European Cup Winners ' Cup in 2016 . She returned to IK Sävehof for the 2016/17 season. In the 2017/18 season she was under contract with the Hungarian club Érdi VSE . She then joined the Danish club Randers HK . Due to her pregnancy, she took a break in February 2020. In August 2020 she signed a contract with IK Sävehof.
Roberts has played 164 games for Sweden so far , in which she scored 341 goals. The European Championship 2010 was her first tournament participation. Roberts scored three goals over the course of the tournament and won the silver medal. A year later she finished ninth with Sweden at the 2011 World Cup in Brazil . In summer 2012 she took part in the Olympic Games in London . With Sweden she finished eleventh. Also in 2012 she belonged to the Swedish EM squad , which took eighth place. At the 2014 European Championships , she won the bronze medal with Sweden. She also took part in the 2016 Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro , the 2016 European Championship , the 2017 World Championship and the 2018 European Championship .
Private
Roberts is in a relationship with the Swedish handball player Emil Berggren . She has a son with Berggren. Her father James is a bodybuilder from the Caribbean island of Aruba who won the bronze medal at the world championships.
