Jan Friš (born December 19, 1995 in Prague ) is a Czech medium and long-distance runner who specializes in the 1,500 meter run .

Athletic career

International experience gained in January Friš in 2014, when he at the World Junior Championships in Eugene in the steeplechase with 9: 20.52 minutes was eliminated in the flow. The following year he took part in the 1500 meter run at the European Indoor Championships in Prague , but failed there with 3: 47.16 minutes in the preliminary round and two years later he was eliminated at the European Indoor Championships in Belgrade with 3: 50.38 minutes in the first round. He then took part in the U23 European Championships in Bydgoszcz and did not reach the final with 3: 47.73 min. In 2019 he was eliminated from the European Indoor Championships in Glasgow with 3: 49.59 minutes in advance. He then won the silver medal behind the Pole Michał Rozmys at the Summer Universiade in Naples in 3: 53.95 minutes and was also used in the run-up to the Czech 4 x 400 meter relay and also reached the final.

In 2019 Friš became the Czech champion in the 5000 meter run . In addition, he was indoor champion in the 3000 meter run in 2018 and 2019 and over 1500 meters in 2019.
