The Japan Amateur Radio League ( Japanese 日本 ア マ チ ュ ア 無線 連 盟 Nihon Amachua Musen Renmei , short: JARL , German  literally: "Japanese amateur radio chain " ) is the national amateur radio association of Japan .

It was founded in 1926 by Japanese radio amateurs with the aim of developing radio technology and using it as a communication medium. Once a year, at the end of August, JARL organizes the Ham Fair , one of the world's largest international amateur radio fairs .

The JARL says of itself that it currently has the largest number of radio amateurs in the world. The JARL as a national umbrella organization is a member of the International Amateur Radio Union .
