The Vereniging voor Experimenteel Radio Onderzoek in Nederland (short: VERON , German  "Association for experimental radio research in the Netherlands" ) is the national association of radio amateurs in the Netherlands .

The association was founded on October 21, 1945 with the aim of promoting the practice of amateur radio and the associated research into high-frequency technology . It is divided into 64 regional sections. VERON's in-house magazine is named after the elementary electrical particle and is called Electron . It appears monthly and is dedicated to the various member activities such as contests , campaigns such as SOTA and "DXpeditions", as well as the typical topics of amateur radio , such as transmission and reception technology, test reports and assembly instructions for antennas.

VERON is a member of the International Amateur Radio Union (IARU Region 1), the international association of amateur radio associations, where it represents the interests of Dutch radio amateurs.

The callsign of the VERON club station is PI4AA.
