The Unión de Radioaficionados Españoles (URE) is the national Spanish amateur radio association.
The association was founded in 1949 and is based in Madrid . He represents the members in the International Amateur Radio Union, among others . The URE is subdivided into 50 local chapters and publishes a specialist journal. The Revista URE appears monthly.
Madrid is also home to the URE Museum , which, in addition to historical equipment, manages literature and documents on the history of radio communications in Spain and makes them available for inspection.
