Jaylen Brown (born October 24, 1996 in Marietta , Georgia ) is an American basketball player who currently plays for the Boston Celtics in the NBA .
Career
Brown played for the California Golden Bears for a year at the University of California, Berkeley . There he had an average of 14.6 points, 5.4 rebounds and 2.0 assists in 34 games. He left college after his freshman year and signed up for the NBA draft .
In the 2016 NBA Draft , Brown was selected third by the Boston Celtics . In his rookie year Brown came to an average of 6.6 points and 2.8 rebounds in 78 games of the season and was called to the NBA All-Rookie Second Team . With the Celtics he reached the Conference Finals. In the second year Brown was able to improve and helped the Celtics with 14.5 points per game again to qualify for the playoff.
