Jean-Philippe Lemoine (born September 11, 1964 in Valence ) is a former French ice hockey player who played for the Frankfurt Lions in the German Ice Hockey League from 1981 to 2003 .

Career

Jean-Philippe Lemoine began his career as a hockey player in the Canadian junior league QMJHL , in which he was active from 1981 to 1984 for the Voisins de Laval , Bisons de Granby and Chevaliers de Longueuil . He then returned to his French homeland, where he ran from 1986 to 1991 for the professional team of the Brûleurs de Loups de Grenoble . With the team he won the French championship title for the first time in his career in his last year in 1991 . Then the defender moved within the top French league to the Dragons de Rouen , with whom he was champions four times in a row in 1992, 1993, 1994 and 1995. Although he was only runner-up with Rouen in 1996, he won the Six Nations Tournament with his team at European level . The 1996/97 season he spent with the Albatros de Brest , with whom he also became French champion straight away.

The 1997/98 season Lemoine spent with the Frankfurt Lions in the German Ice Hockey League , for which he prepared four goals in a total of 48 games. He then returned to the Brûleurs de Loups de Grenoble, with whom he also took part in the European Hockey League parallel to the game in France . The three-time Olympian spent the 1999/2000 season with Grenoble after the club's forced relegation in the fourth-class division 3 . From 2001 to 2003 Lemoine let his career with the Blitz de Granby , which later renamed itself Prédateurs de Granby, in the Canadian Quebec Semi Pro Hockey League fade away.

International

For France , Lemoine took part in the B World Championships in 1987 , 1989 , 1990 and 1991 and the A World Championships in 1993 , 1994 , 1995 , 1996 , 1997 , 1998 and 1999 . He was also in his country's squad at the 1988 Winter Olympics in Calgary , 1992 in Albertville and 1998 in Nagano .
