Jeanine Assani-Issouf (born August 17, 1992 in Marseille ) is a French triple jumper .

Athletic career

Jeanine Assani-Issouf gained her first international experience at the 2009 Youth World Championships in Bressanone , where she was eliminated from the qualification with 12.53 m. At the Junior European Championships in 2011 in Tallinn , she finished ninth with a width of 12.80 m and in 2013 she failed to qualify for the U23 European Championships in Tampere . In 2015 she took part in the European Indoor Championships in Prague for the first time and was eliminated there with 13.71 m in qualification. She also took part in the World Championships in Beijing , where she finished ninth with a width of 14.12 m in the final . In 2016 she took part in the World Indoor Championships and finished seventh with a jump of 14.07 m. At the European Championships in Amsterdam she was eliminated with 13.80 m. Nevertheless, she took part in the Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro , but did not reach the final there with 13.97 m .

At the European Indoor Championships 2017 in Belgrade , she was eliminated in the preliminary round with 13.94 m as ninth in the qualification, as well as at the World Championships in London , where 13.87 m was not enough for the final . The following year she was seventh at the European Championships in Berlin with 14.12 m. In 2019 she was eliminated from the qualification at the European Indoor Championships in Glasgow with 13.74 m.

From 2016 to 2018 Assani-Issouf was French champion in the triple jump outdoors and from 2014 to 2017 also indoors.
