Jennifer Padilla González (born January 1, 1990 in Quibdó ) is a Colombian sprinter .

Athletic career

Jennifer Padilla gained her first international experience at the 2006 South American Youth Championships in Caracas , where she finished sixth over 200 meters. In 2009 she won bronze over 200 meters at the South American Championships in Lima and silver with the Colombian 4 x 400 meter relay. A little later she won bronze over 200 meters and bronze in the 400-meter run and with the relay at the Junior South American Championships in São Paulo . At the Pan American Junior Championships in Port of Spain , she won gold over 400 meters and finished sixth over 200 meters. and in 2011 in Buenos Aires silver over 400 m . Towards the end of the year she won gold with the relay and silver over 400 meters at the Juegos Bolivarianos in Sucre . In 2010 she won gold at the U23 South American Championships in Medellín with the 4-by-400-meter relay and silver with the 4-by-100-meter relay and in the 400-meter run, and she also finished fourth over 200 meters. At the Ibero-American Championships in San Fernando , she won silver over 400 meters and took fifth place with the Colombian relay. At the Central America and Caribbean Games in Mayagüez , she was eliminated over 400 meters in the preliminary round and won silver with the relay.

In 2011 she won silver in the individual competition and with the relay at the South American Championships in Buenos Aires . At the Central America and Caribbean Games, she finished Paltz five over 400 meters. She celebrated her greatest success at the Pan American Games in Guadalajara, Mexico . There she won over 400 meters and bronze in both relay competitions. In 2012 she won gold over 400 meters and silver in the relay at the U23 South American Championships and finished fourth over 200 meters. She also qualified for the Summer Olympics in London , where she was disqualified in the first round for crossing the track . In 2013 she won bronze in the individual competition and silver in the relay at the South American Championships in Cartagena . At the Juegos Bolivarianos in Trujillo she won with the relay and won silver over 400 meters.

At the South American Games in Santiago de Chile in 2014 , she finished fifth over 400 meters and won bronze in the 4 x 100 meter relay and silver in the long sprint relay. At the Ibero-American Championships in São Paulo , she won silver. She then won bronze at the Central America and Caribbean Games in Xalapa both individually and with the Colombian relay. In 2015 she was eliminated in the preliminary round at the South American Championships in Lima over 200 meters and took eighth place in her specialty, which was disappointing for her. In 2016 she finished fourth at the Ibero-American Championships in Rio de Janeiro . In 2017, the Colombian team finished third in the B final of the IAAF World Relays 2017 in the Bahamas . At the South American Championships in Luque she won silver in the individual competition and with both sprint relays. In November she won the silver medal at the Juegos Bolivarianos in Santa Marta with 53.43 seconds as well as with the Colombian 4 x 400 meter relay.
