Jerry Appelt
Peter “Jerry” Appelt (born October 10, 1966 in Munich ) is a German lighting designer and production designer for events, TV shows and concerts.
Life
Appelt has been working as a lighting designer since 1992. In addition to the Eurovision Song Contest 2011 in Düsseldorf , 2012 in Baku , 2017 in Kiev and the Eurovision Song Contest 2018 in Lisbon, as well as the Junior Song Contest 2013 in Kiev , projects such as the lighting design for the opening of the Expo 2017 in Kazakhstan can be found on his reference list Opening of the Elbphilharmonie 2017, for Qatar National Day 2013, for the opening and closing ceremony of the Commonwealth Games in New Delhi 2010 , or the staging of the "Circle of Lights" in Moscow in 2011 and the light symphony for the opening of Berlin Central Station in 2006. Jerry Appelt has been working as a lighting designer and DoP (director of photography) for TV shows in Germany and abroad for years. Some of these shows are the ECHO awards (12 × since 2001), Bambi awards (since 2005), the Golden Camera from Hörzu since 2015, the German television price or X-Factor , as well as the IIFA Awards in Colombo and Toronto and the TV -Format The Taste in Germany and China.
