Jirès Kembo Ekoko (born January 8, 1988 in Kinshasa ) is a Congolese - French football player .

family

Jirès Kembo Ekoko is a son of Kembo Uba Kembo , a former Congolese international who played with the Zairean national team in the 1974 World Cup. His younger adoptive brother, Kylian Mbappé, is also a professional footballer and became world champion with the French national team in 2018 .

Career

society

Ekoko began his professional career in 2006 at the French club Stade Rennes . From the 2007/08 season he came to regular assignments and increased from season to season. In the 2011/12 season he scored ten goals in 32 league games, making him the most successful league goal scorer in his team. For the new season he moved to the al Ain Club . Here he was only kept in the squad for one season and then loaned to al-Jaish . In 2015 he moved to al-Nasr SC .

For the 2017/18 season, Ekoko from the Turkish Süper Lig was signed by Bursaspor .

National team

Ekoko opted for a career in the French national teams and played several times for the French U-20 and U-21 national teams .
