Joachim Christian Friedrich von Itzenplitz

Joachim Christian Friedrich von Itzenplitz (born March 6, 1706 ; † April 18, 1765 in Neustadt-Eberswalde ) was a Prussian major general and chief of garrison regiment No. 7 and heir to Jerchel .

Life

origin

His parents were Balthasar Friedrich von Itzenplitz and his second wife Sophia von Zieten . The Prussian Lieutenant General August Friedrich von Itzenplitz was his older half-brother. Another half-brother Heinrich Friedrich von Itzenplitz died on November 28, 1751 as a lieutenant colonel in Infantry Regiment No. 8 in Stettin.

Military career

Itzenplitz was transferred to Infantry Regiment No. 20 in 1721 . There he became an ensign in 1723 and on November 11, 1729 Prime Lieutenant . In 1741 he took over the regiment "Jung-Dohna" no. 38 one company . There he rose to major . In June 1751 he was promoted to lieutenant colonel and in February 1757 he was made a colonel . In August 1759 he was appointed major general. In March 1760 he received the 7th garrison regiment.

He fought in the First and Second Silesian Wars . He was wounded in the foot in the battle of Kunersdorf .

family

Itzenplitz was married twice. His first wife was Viktoria Sophie von Reder († August 20, 1764). His second wife was Charlotte Wilhelmine Ursin von Baer († January 30, 1805), a granddaughter of Bishop Benjamin Ursinus .
