Joachim Hauer (born February 2, 1991 ) is a former Norwegian ski jumper who started for the Bækkelagets SK .

Career

Hauer, who starts for the club Bækkelagets SK , made his international debut at the FIS Cup in September 2007 in Falun, Sweden . After jumping into the top twenty in the second competition there and also in the following competitions by Heddal and Kuopio , he got his first place in the ski jumping Continental Cup in September 2008 in Lillehammer . However, Hauer was disqualified in this jumping. So he stayed in the lower class FIS Cup.

After he was able to further improve his performance, he got another Continental Cup starting place in Wisła in October 2010 . He reached places 53 and 30, with the latter winning his first Continental Cup point. In December he started again at the FIS Cup show jumping in Notodden and jumped twice under the top ten. From September 2011, Hauer was regularly given the opportunity to start in the Continental Cup at jumping in Norway. After all, he was a permanent member of the Scandinavian national B squad from January 2013. In Bischofshofen he won his first two Winter Continental Cup points with rank 29. However, since it remained his only two points of the 2012/13 season , he only finished the season in 183rd place overall.

Hauer was able to increase significantly for the 2013/14 season . In January 2014 he jumped just past the top 10 in Sapporo and ended up being eleventh twice. He then started on January 31, 2014 to qualify for jumping in the Ski Jumping World Cup on the following day in Willingen . After qualifying he only reached third from last place in the competition with rank 48 and was eliminated in round one. He then went back to the B-squad and jumped into the top ten for the first time in March in Zakopane , finishing sixth.

In September 2014, Hauer impressed with two fourth places at the Continental Cup in Klingenthal . Thereupon he started four weeks later in the same place in the Ski Jumping Grand Prix and was able to score points after finishing ninth in qualification as 22nd in the competition. With this result, he landed 69th in the overall Grand Prix standings. At the end of November, he was back in the World Cup in Ruka and, after being disqualified in the first competition, won his first two World Cup points in 29th place in the second. He ended his first World Cup season in 67th place with 14 points.

Hauer ended his career after the 2018/19 season.
