Joachim Münch (pedagogue)

Joachim Münch (born September 20, 1919 in Bennewitz near Leipzig ; † October 19, 2019 in Kaiserslautern ) was a German professional educator and university professor .

Life

Joachim Münch made parallel to its design as confectioner the graduate to a Abendgymnasium . From 1946 he studied at the vocational education academy in Hanover , where in 1948 he passed the state examination for the trade teaching post. From 1948 to 1963 Münch was in the vocational school service in Lübeck, Husum, Kiel and Kaiserslautern, from 1959 as headmaster of the vocational schools in Kaiserslautern . From 1952 he studied education, psychology, economics and Politikwissenschaftan the University of Kiel and the Ohio State University in Columbus / Ohio (USA) and in 1957 at Fritz Blättner Dr. phil. PhD. From 1963 to 1967 Münch worked as a senior school officer in the state of Bremen and then as a professor at the State University Institute for Vocational Education in Mainz . On October 1, 1970, he was appointed to an H4 professorship for vocational and work pedagogy at the university. Kaiserslautern-Trier, later appointed University of Kaiserslautern . In addition, from 1975 he was a permanent guest lecturer at the Center Universitaire de Luxembourg . In 1987 he was at the University of Kaiserslautern emeritus , but remained scientifically advanced age actively. He died in 2019 shortly after his 100th birthday.
