Joe Crawford (born March 28, 1963 , as Jörg Weber ) is a German pop musician and bassist for the band Pur . He also sings there and looks after the band's fan clubs.

Crawford was born in Ludwigsburg and grew up in Ingersheim . When he started at PUR (then Crusade) in 1979, he was hired as the second guitarist. When a bass player was needed later, he changed instruments. In Freiburg and at the Conservatoire National de Musique in Strasbourg , he majored in music with the flute alongside the double bass. After marrying Susanne Crawford from America in the early 1990s, he took his wife's surname and changed Jörg (Jo) into Joe. He has two daughters.
